Enemy Pie

The  book called “Enemy Pie” is a picture book. This book is related to kids 6-10 years old. This book is written by Derek Munson and illustrated by Tara Calahan King. This  book was published on September 1st 2000.  The summary of this book is: It was a summer. That is, until Jeremy Ross moved into the house down the street and became neighborhood enemy number one. Luckily Dad had a surefire way to get rid of enemies: Enemy Pie. But part of the secret recipe is spending an entire day playing with the enemy.  

Alfred Nobel The Man Behind The Peace Prize

“Alfred Nobel The Man Behind The Peace Prize”  by Kathy Jo Wargin illustrated by Zachary Pullen. This book is for kids from 6-10. This book is about a man named Alfred Nobel which his brother, Emil died  to a nitroglycerin explosion that erupted randomly by itself. After this tragic event happened Alfred Nobel studied Nitroglycerin. After 2 years of studying this object, Alfred made a safer type of explosive object called dynamite so that people don’t die to these random explosions. Two years later Alfred made nitroglycerin safe to use and then made it into dynamite sticks to sell to people. Everyone was using the dynamite to kill everybody and when Alfred died, people all over the world were blaming him for everyone’s deaths.  After he passed away from old age, and his wealth was distributed around his friends and family, his will stated that his villa would be used as a ceremonial ground for science, medicine, physics, literature, economic science and peace.  In conclusion this book was a great book.

I Used To Be A Fish

          This book is written and illustrated by Tom Sullivan.The book features a timeline of life on earth and an author’s note, which includes important facts about evolution. In this book the boy is imagining his self as fish. Then a lizard, monkey, early human and modern human. When he was a fish he was unhappy because he didn’t have feet. With the evolution the fish turned to a human. But between human and fish he became lizard, cat, monkey, early human and modern human. There isn’t so much things to say in this book. In conclusion this book is about a boy using his imagination.

Hey, Little Ant

 ” Hey, Little Ant”.This book is about a kid bullying the ant.The authors of this book are Phillip and Hannah Hoose. The book is illustrated by Debbie Tilley.  This book is about a kid and an ant. The kid saw the ant and he wanted to squish it. This book is a children tale. this book is for  4 to 8 years old. the kid wants to kill the ant but ant doesn’t wanted to get squished by the to the kid . Ant is talking about his life but boy still wants to squish the ant. Then the boy tells that he is playing squishing ants game with is friend. Then ant is asking the boy that why do you want to squish me. the boy says that you are  stealing our cookies and chips. the ant says 1 cookie and 1 chip is enough to for my town.
